I'm Alexander Gibbey, and I've spent almost twenty years perfecting my craft as a barber. Across the South Wales Valleys I built and ran four successful barbershops, each one a place where men came not only for a sharp cut, but for the conversation, the camaraderie, and the ritual.

In 2026, I brought everything I've learned to my new home in West Wales and opened Siop Y Barbwr in Drefach Felindre. The Valleys taught me speed, precision, and how to read a man's hair the moment he sits down. West Wales has given me the space to slow that craft down and build something timeless.

Every cut here carries that experience. You're not just getting a haircut — you're getting twenty years of trade, sharpened on thousands of chairs before yours.

Nestled in the heart of Carmarthenshire, Drefach Felindre is a village woven with history. Once the centre of the Welsh woollen industry, earning it the moniker "The Huddersfield of Wales", it is a place where craft and community have always been intertwined.

We draw inspiration from this rich heritage. Just as the mills prized quality and endurance, we bring meticulous attention to detail to every cut.
